Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool only asks for six items: gender, birthday, how much coverage you want, how long you want it for, general health, and tobacco use. Those six answers are sufficient for the carriers to show you rates. Personal information like your name, address, and detailed medical history only comes into the picture if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

What you see represents what each carrier will charge based on the health classification you selected. After you apply, the carrier goes through underwriting, which may keep you in the same category, move you to a better one, or change your category. These numbers are examples only and are not a binding offer.

What happens when I click Apply?

You'll enter your name when you move forward, and the quote you selected is used to create an application. The application opens on the carriers' encrypted system. It can be done all at once or paused and finished later. When you're done, you'll add your signature digitally. Susman Insurance Agency, licensed in California as License 0B75129, processes everything.

Will I need a medical exam?

It varies by which carrier, the coverage amount, and your answers. Some carriers can approve people immediately without a medical exam; others may need one, and some always require one. Each quote tells you what to expect on that front.

Is a longer term better?

A 20-year or 30-year term should cover the vulnerable years: while you have a mortgage, while kids are living with you, or while a business depends on your income. Prices go up with longer terms, but you get a rate that's locked in for longer. You can look at 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms all at once to figure out what fits.

Does this site sell my information?

No. This tool doesn't ask for your phone number or address, we don't sell or rent your data, and we track visits without cookies. Look at our privacy statement for everything we do and don't collect.
